Canada to provide drones, armoured personnel in new military aid for Ukraine

From Global News.

Canada will be providing more military aid for Ukraine, including more than three dozen new armoured personnel as well as some new drone cameras, a move Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said Thursday shows the country will "continue to be there in response to how we can best help."

Two new NATO research centres would also be hosted by Canada, Trudeau said, one which will focus on new security challenges brought by climate change and another on solving defence and security problems.

Trudeau also reiterated a previous announcement by Foreign Minister Melanie Joly on Wednesday about an increased diplomatic presence, with new Canadian embassies being established in Armenia, Lithuania, Estonia and Slovakia, and an upgraded diplomatic mission in Latvia.
