Canada’s Conservatives call for Trudeau to fire top adviser amid military sex misconduct scandal

From Global News.

The House of Commons defence committee probing military sexual misconduct was cancelled Monday just before it was set to debate whether to call Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s chief of staff, Katie Telford. The cancellation came after Conservative Leader Erin O’Toole called for Telford to be fired.

The committee has been working for weeks on who knew what when it comes to the allegations of sexual misconduct against former chief of defence staff Gen. Jonathan Vance.

As Mike Le Couteur reports, the meeting was originally to be held in-camera, which means behind closed doors, but just before the scheduled start time Monday morning, it was cancelled with no date set to return or reason for cancellation.
