From Guinness World Records.
The most tricks performed by two dogs in one minute is 28, and was achieved by Wish and Halo with their trainer Emily Larlham (USA), in El Cajon, California, USA, on 22 December 2020.
Emily trained Wish and Halo the Border Collies separately using Positive Reinforcement. The steps were broken up small enough so the dogs were highly successful at learning the behaviours. If the dogs created incorrect responses, Emily would simply find a way to break the steps up in a way that the dogs could be successful. Emily spent a long period of time building the dog’s trust and relationship with her and the other dog using Positive Reinforcement. When the behaviours were asked with both dogs together for the first times Emily always made the criteria easier so that working with another dog meant getting more treats than working alone. She then added speed to the behaviours using toys so that the dogs could perform more tricks in a shorter time period. Both Border Collies are highly intelligent, healthy, young and athletic so they found this attempt exhilarating.
