Q&A – Why are my cayenne pepper flowers not developing fruits?

From Family Plot.

There are several possible reasons for this. UT Assistant Professor of Residential and Consumer Horticulture Natalie Bumgarner says because peppers are self-pollinating there should be no pollination issues here. She says if the plant does not have the proper soil nutrition it might not be growing fruit. It could also be a result of cool weather or even cool nighttime temperatures.
