There are several possible reasons for this. UT Assistant Professor of Residential and Consumer Horticulture Natalie Bumgarner says because peppers are self-pollinating there should be no pollination issues here. She says if the plant does not have the proper soil nutrition it might not be growing fruit. It could also be a result of cool weather or even cool nighttime temperatures.
